Honey Ginger Lemon Tea

15 minutes. 2 servings

Ingredients

  • 4 cup water

  • ½ cup sugar

  • Juice from 2 lemons

  • 1.5 inch of ginger (thumb-sized), peeled and minced

  • 2 teaspoons honey

  • Pinch of red pepper flakes

  • Optional: whiskey, to taste

Instructions

In a medium-sized pot, bring all ingredients to a boil (except for the whiskey, if you’re using it). Once it begins to boil, reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes (longer if you want it really ginger-y). Serve hot, with a generous dash of whiskey if desired.
